Domestic Abuse Survivor
THIS IS A MOVEMENT: dynamic artists unite for a one-of-a-kind performance tribute to survivors of domestic abuse and provide a beacon of hope to women who may be currently experiencing abuse. Then Sings My Soul amplifies the mission to give voice and visibility to battered women and girls, their families, and supporters across the nation to speak out against domestic violence.
We need your help to ensure that the light created by this performance sits high upon a hill and broadcasts the radiant light of hope, support, and compassion for women caught in the cycle of domestic violence. As a sponsor, your organization will receive advertising in productions, programs, etc. (see sponsorship package). Most importantly, you will help to launch a movement that will uplift the lives of women, men, and their children. After you review the current sponsorship opportunities, it is our hope you will say YES!
-Wyomme Pariss, Visionary and Founder of Then Sings My Soul
Then Sings My Soul is a stirring production that brings the audience face to face with women and men who are in the fight of their lives. Their journey begins with trials and situations that threaten to rob them of their freedom, their joy, and even their souls. Once they come to understand that abuse of any kind is unacceptable, and that we all must play our part to put an end to the cycle of violence, the healing can begin. With powerful stories and music that touches the heart, Then Sings My Soul” will move audiences to action and be the spark to ignite a movement with the mission of restoring hope and ending domestic violence in all of its forms.
Domestic violence can happen to anyone regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender. Domestic violence affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels.Domestic violence occurs in both opposite-sex relationships and can happen to intimate partners who are married, living together or dating.
Domestic violence not only affects those who are abused, but also has a substantial effect on family members, friends, co-workers, other witnesses, and the community at large. Children, who grow up witnessing domestic violence, are among those seriously affected by this crime. Frequent exposure to violence in the home not only predisposes children to numerous social and physical problems, but also teaches them that violence is a normal way of life — therefore, increasing their risk of becoming society’s next generation of victims and abusers. So let’s come together and support this cause and stop violence in our community. This is a must see film.
Film Production begins July 2022.
REVIEWS from the stage play musical:
“I was thrilled to attend and support the opening of Then Sings My Soul. The musical entertained as well as enlightened. Then Sings My Soul tells tremendous stories with an excellent cast. I’m sorry these stories have to be told, but as they do, this production and cast did an excellent job of doing so.”

“Sullied Bride Productions is an independent film production company that engages neighborhoods to pull from local sources of talent, businesses, and resources to create media projects on a small budget. These media projects range from short films and public service announcements to feature films covering a wide range of women’s issues from domestic violence, reproductive rights, and women in the faith community. The motto of Sullied Bride Productions is “Telling our stories ourselves,” which solves the problem of women not having a voice in society. Often women’s stories are censored or told through a biased male lens. The company has a qualified staff of trained domestic violence advocates, certified teachers, and other professionals. Through community outreach, the company has gathered data on the issues that impact women the most and applied these themes to media projects.”
